Overview
Led product design for a 0→1 virtual care platform, from foundational research with clinical teams through to a launched product used by nurses and physicians to coordinate and manage patient care remotely.
The Challenge
Build a telehealth virtual care platform from nothing — no existing product, no design system, no established workflows. The platform needed to serve both nurses and physicians with fundamentally different mental models and clinical workflows.
Approach
Embedded with clinical teams to understand real workflows. Conducted extensive user research with nurses and physicians to map their daily routines, pain points, and decision-making patterns. Designed a flexible interface that adapted to different clinical roles while maintaining a unified experience.
Platform Design
Designed a modular platform that supported multiple clinical workflows — from patient monitoring and virtual rounding to care coordination across departments.
Impact
Launched a production platform used by clinical teams to manage virtual patient care. Established the design system and component library that accelerated subsequent feature development.
